Happy 50th Birthday, Jodi!

waltdisneyconfessions: “I think it’s scary how Disney got cute fairy tales out of the true stories of The Little Mermaid and Cinderella. Those aren’t children friendly”. Watching Disney movies as a kid made me curious about the books and stories behind them as an adult. And they’re beautiful. Grimm and especially Andersen fairytales are stories everyone should read. I wouldn’t have been able to finish “The Little Mermaid” as a child because it’s so sad, but it’s hopelessly beautiful. I love it like no other.
